Where BYOPE Started/Came From?
BYOPE was born out of Pastor DeLana’s personal journey of overcoming depression and anxiety. What started as a saying, turned into a t-shirt design, and is now a full-fledged movement that touches lives across the nation. This experience was created to give every woman a genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit and empower her to be the best version of herself…on purpose!

BYOPE was born out of Pastor DeLana’s personal journey through rejection, breakthrough, and the discovery that true power comes from being unapologetically you—on purpose. What started as a women’s empowerment session in a small church exploded into a full-fledged movement that now touches lives across the nation. This experience was created with every woman, man, and teen in mind who has ever questioned their worth or struggled to find their voice.
Pastor DeLana Rutherford
Pastor DeLana Rutherford is the visionary founder of the Be You on Purpose Experience and the Be You On Purpose Foundation. She serves as senior pastor of Worship with Wonders Church in Georgia alongside her husband, Pastor Myles Rutherford. Together, they are passionate worshippers, fervently on fire for God. Pastor DeLana’s distinctive worship style resonates deeply, reaching hearts across the globe. Called by God and led by the Holy Spirit, she and her husband deliver the Word with authenticity and anointing, committed to fulfilling God’s purpose through Spirit-led ministry.
Pastor DeLana is also a successful author, recording artist and has been featured on notable platforms including TBN and national radio. Rooted in a strong Pentecostal heritage and grounded by a firm family foundation, she is a powerful vessel for God’s work. Both she and her husband carry a profound spirit of unity for the Body of Christ and are passionate about God, family, the church, and His people.
